Theme rotation as composition
Light and dark aren't a toggle. Used per section, the tonal shift carries an argument the layout alone can't make.
A page that flips between light and dark sections reads as composed, not decorated. The shift marks where the argument changes.
Use it to mean something
Each dark section should answer one question: what idea does this express that the section before it didn’t? If there’s no answer, the rotation is decoration — and decoration is the first thing to cut.
