The cost of a handoff
Every design-to-code handoff is a translation, and every translation loses something. The cost is paid downstream, quietly.
The handoff looks free. A file moves from one tool to another and work continues. The cost shows up later — in the QA pass that exists only to catch what the translation dropped.
Remove the translation
When design and code read from one source, there’s nothing to translate. The careful work happens once, and it counts.
